Unity is Strength. I don't know how much its true, but here you can see a good example of that. On 30th July 2008 here at Padmapur there was a movement to sort out some general Problems of the Padmapur Localities. There were some general problems of Padmapur which has been put forwarded to The BDO of Padmapur Block The Problems are given below: i ) Regular disconnection and Low Voltage supply of Electiricity Here. ii ) Lack of Regular Teachers in B.N High School, Padmapur. iii ) Night Expresses From Bhubaneswar to Rayagada (To & Fro) has to Pass Through Padmapur Main Road. iv ) Upgradation of Mediacl Staffs & Other Facilities at CHC Padmapur. Many eminent persons attended the meeting to make it grand success. On the day of meeting all the schools and private establishments, shops were remained closed, the Schools called it as a Local Holiday. Some Famous persons who attended the meeting were : Mr P.L. Subudhi (Retiered Teacher of BNHS) Mr. Paramananda Das (Retired School Head Master) also Ex-Sarpanch Mr. Sudama Labala also attended the meeting and spoke few words for the benefit of the locality. It has been seen people came together to sort out the problem vastly. A good responce has been seen from the administartive authorities. Local Police had made good arrangement to make the movement success. The local News Paper correspondents from different paper gave this news a block in their papers to drag attentions. We hope movements like this will bring more attentions of the higher authorities of Govt. and make padmapur a well facillited place to live.
